Oven Roasted Strawberry Shortcake

         

As prepared by the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute

Ingredients:

2  quarts strawberries, quartered

     butter, as needed

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 oz. Drambuie or rum

 

Procedure:

Heat pan.  Add butter and toss quartered strawberries in heated pan with butter.

Place the pan in the oven until strawberries are soft.

Add the brown sugar and heat until melted.  Add Drambuie or rum.

Serve strawberries over cake and top with wipped cream.
